HOW
DO I... OBTAIN
A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?
Please complete a request form (the tear-off page opposite your last prescription)
and place in the repeat prescription box at the reception desk. Prescriptions
will be ready for collection in 48 hours after 4.00pm or, alternatively, you can
arrange for your regular chemist to collect the prescription for you.
HOW
DO I... OBTAIN
A HOME VISIT?
If possible please try to telephone before 10.00am. A doctor or nurse may
telephone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone
advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange
a hospital attendance. House visits are only available for patients who are housebound
because of illness or disability.
HOW
DO I... OBTAIN
TEST RESULTS?
The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection.
We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that
person has given prior permission for the release of the results or they are not
capable of understanding the results. It usually takes about seven days for most
results to come through. Hospital letters can take a bit longer. Please telephone
or call into the surgery after 3.00pm.
HOW
DO I... MAKE
A SUGGESTION/COMPLAINT?
We make every effort to give the best service possible to everyone who attends
our practice. However, we are aware that things can go wrong, resulting in a patient
feeling that they have a genuine case for complaint. If this is so, we would wish
for the matter to be settled as quickly, and as amicably, as possible. Simply
contact the practice manager, Anne Inglis, and she will set all the necessary
wheels in motion. Further written information on the complaints procedure is available
from reception.
HOW
DO I...
OBTAIN
AN APPOINTMENT?
Pre-bookable routine, morning and afternoon appointments are available to book in advance for each day. On-the-day appointments become available each day at 8.30am for both morning and afternoon. If your require an urgent appointment you will be seen as soon as possible on that day. Please help the receptionist by telling them whether or not your problem is urgent.
